I had suggested this initially but I don't have particularly
strong feelings about it. The elections, as far<br>
as I understand, are administered by Mozilla as a third party. So
it made sense for me to keep the<br>
elections list on a Mozilla-preferred platform with @mozilla.org
as the domain.<br>

preparations for voting, is organized and administered by
Thunderbird. We self-govern.<br>

<p>For the sake of transparency, we (emphasis on we) select a third
party respected in the open source community to be involved to
assure a fair process and do the vote counting. But that person
does not organize or "run" the elections period. There is no
requirement for this to be a Mozilla affiliated person. In fact,
the last person to do so was not a Mozilla employee. <br>
