Apparently Mozilla is removing terminology from applications that has
been identified as derogatory or exclusionary.? Do I therefore take is
this is a Mozilla project?? I have been confused about the status

Hey Matt,

To clarify: Thunderbird is a Mozilla Foundation project. MZLA
Technologies Corporation, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mozilla
Foundation and allows for operation needs of paying stuff, generating
partnerships, etc. Are there specific questions about this that I can
clarify?

Let's all remember that many of the world's languages are filled
with gender nouns, verbs, and pronouns:
https://bostonlanguage.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/gender-in-languages-across-the-world/

Often, but not always, these open-source initiatives listed above by
Patrick (and also listed by otherwise intelligent people) are just
    politically correct insanity.

In the U.S., National Hurricane Center weather persons used to name
all hurricanes with women's names. It became an issue. Since 1977,
we now follow the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and
alternate male and female names: the Equal Offense system of naming
    hurricanes. Now we offend everyone.

If "black list" is bad, is "white wash" good?

I was once told that to refer to a woman who has the job of flight
attendant as a stewardess was offensive. Is the term "steward"
offensive for a male flight attendant?

My street is filled with person-hole covers.

In my writing I will go out of my way to include the term "he or
she" when referring to a person whose gender is unknown. However,
after I use this term, I will use the term "he" as the
gender-neutral reference for the rest of the paragraph. Later I
will use the term "he or she" again if gender remains unknown in the
    latter sentences.
