<p>Council is now meeting every two weeks, not weekly.<br>
</p>
<h3>Financial</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ryan is developing an experiment with Andrei and
Alessandro to increase donations.</li>
<li>With our reorganization under the for profit MZLA, our tax
burden will significantly impact our financials. Working
with MoFo to identify areas of relief.</li>
<li>Working with MoFo/MoCo on the service agreements, where we
will be paying for services.<br>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Hiring / Personnel</h3>
<ul>
<li>Berna mentioned we need to set aside funds for the release
engineering if we start paying for these services.<br>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Product / Strategy</h3>
<ul>
<li>Discussed version 78 QA and update management process. <br>
</li>
<li>Due to “encrypt drafts” issue, OpenPGP will not be enabled
at 78.2.0 which due out 2020-08-25.</li>
<li>Discussed RNP development grant and code audit. A redux
audit report will be released internally and as with
previous audits, the report can be released after
appropriate bugs are fixed.</li>
<li>Berna asked, and we discussed, how the recent layoffs at
Mozilla may affect Thunderbird, and whether there are
consequences that we need to investigate and prepare for.<br>
</li>
</ul>
<b>Governance </b>
<ul>
<li>Revisited Project Governance and Management proposal.
Proposal under discussion is:</li>
<ul>
<li>Board ensures the project is fiscally sound and stays on
the right track.</li>
<li>Remove most operations from Council and distribute to
the team.</li>
<li>Allow Council to focus on high level and approve a
yearly budget which the team then manages.</li>
<li>Council to focus on vision, long-term strategy, raising
community concerns, and acting as an ombudsman for the
project.</li>
<li>Team manages day-to-day and begins to set up management
structures within itself with guidance from Council.</li>
<li>Establishes a Product Manager to manage many higher
level tasks of managing the project operations as well as
help with long-term planning and measuring and reporting
project metrics. Helps establish & carry out vision.<br>

<h3>Miscellaneous</h3>
<ul>
<li> Magnus had meeting with company interested in OpenPGP
success. <br>
