<div class="signature">There is a plugin ("TbSync" with additional tool "Provider for calDav and cardDav") for this, but why is thunderbird not working "as easy as that" out of the box ?</div>

<div class="signature">I run my own "baikal server" and nearly all other important apps (apple, microsoft) detect all calendars with colors etc. directky after entering uri and credentials. only in thunderbird i should enter the whole (complex) url for every calendar and have to choose colors everytime again. i support a lot of thunderbird installations in my family and friends - but it is very annoying to install plugins and explain difficult administration to every user.</div>
