reviewing DTN, I independently came to a similar conclusion ...
that the sidebar as currently constructed is largely irrelevant to
the addon developer, and relevant items not easily found (you must
scroll to the bottom). Perhaps there should even be more sidebar
items for addon developers than the three listed? For example
where are the addon forums listed?<br>

<p>DTN gets more and more information, but it also gets crowded.
Also I have the impression, that the line between core
development and addon development is not hard enough. There
where addon authors trying to understand "the new WebExt stuff"
but gut stuck on reading the "Hello World" Example.</p>
<p>I would like to propose a structual change: Move everything up
one level of hierarchy.</p>

<p>This has all the stuff related to Contributing to Thunderbird
Core in its own main section. The next section could be either
"Add-On Development" or we could separate that in two main
sections for the legacy stuff (with the update guides) and
another main section for WebExt Add-On- Development.</p>
