Based on this there was a bit of a delay on the Council minutes
from a few weeks ago. Please see below and let me know if you have

Thunderbird Project Council Meeting 2019-10-24
<br>
Call Summary
<br>
<br>
Date: Thursday, October 24, 2019
<br>
Keeper of the minutes: Patrick
<br>
<br>
In the call: Patrick, Magnus, Berna, Ryan, Jörg, Wayne
<br>
Regrets: Philipp
<br>
<br>
The meeting commences at 2:00 PM CEST.
<br>
<br>
Agenda:
<br>
<br>
Hiring / Personnel:
<br>
<br>
* In the process of writing job reqs. to meet the roadmap.
<br>
* Berna and others expressed concern about the impact of the
hiring timeline. (Expected a few months to hire, a few months ramp
up.)
<br>
<br>
Governance:
<br>
<br>
* Ryan recapped a meeting that Philipp and Ryan had with the
Mozilla Foundation.
<br>
* Patrick and Ryan discussed "what's next" for the Council.
<br>
* Hiring.
<br>
* Contracts with partners.
<br>
<br>
Miscellaneous:
<br>
<br>
* Ryan brought up the topic of publishing an add-ons roadmap, in
response to community feedback.
<br>
* Wayne brought up that there isn't agreement in philosophy on
the amount of resources to use on supporting add-ons. The amount
of support necessary is likely disproportionate to the number of
add-ons and add-on users. Some amount of commitment should be
made.
<br>
* Jörg identified that many power users (the biggest advocates
for Thunderbird) likely use add-ons.
<br>
* Patrick and Ryan discussed what the root cause might be: do we
need more documentation? Guidance?
<br>
* Ryan suggests we need commitment that someone will be
available to answer some questions and build out resources for
add-on authors.
<br>
* Discussed the current developer documentation.
<br>
* Discussed bringing some features from add-ons into core, but
that doesn't solve the current situation.
<br>
* Magnus and Jörg discussed whether someone could be hired to
fulfill this role.
<br>
<br>
Call ends at 3:15 PM CEST
