<p>I help manage releases, and also frequently check memory usage on
my various machines and often look at Thunderbird's usage. So I
can anecdotally state I am not aware of any feature which added
significant memory usage as you describe, nor any confirmed bugs
along those lines*. <br>
</p>
<p>Generally speaking memory usage in the 200-800 MB range is fine,
and it's OK for it to go up and down as usage of functions and
features changes. <br>
</p>
