      Can the code from Firefox be merged into Thunderbird?</p>

      Err, why? The policies around ESR are unchanged (security &
      stability only). Why would we suddenly change the policy and upset
      those that rely on it?

      xul when we're not going to base anything else on those branches
      anyway?
