modeless / floating dialogs with preferences in them are very
important for my UI design as they provide context without
ripping the user out of the 3pane window. I was planning to go
self employed based on my Pro Add-ons, but if the plan is to
phase out Add-ons by just treating Thunderbird like chrome
(force everything in to content tabs, force the code into APIs)
then there is really no point going on.</p>
<p>THis is just following the latest Postbox release 5.52 beta 7
last Friday who decided to drop 3rd party Add-ons support. (I
had all my code compatible and working with 5.52 beta 6) <br>
</p>
<p>I think this is very frustrating as the constant restrictions
and making the UI experience poorer for users without warning
Add-ons developers doesn't exactly inspire much confidence into
our future. Are we just following all design decisions in
Firefox in order to stay code compatible and then expect poorer
and poorer extensions until there are only web extensions left?<br>
