    The best way forward for 'modernizing' the Thunderbird UI is very

    simple - just make it extremely skinnable.<br>

    Then Users can scratch their itches to their hearts content by

    developing 'modern' Themes, without bothering those of us who think

    the current UI is just fine.<br>
