<p>I like the pencil (light gray please) more than all the arrows
in the world as well. I think the metaphor is also used for the
composer. Like I said before, we already have too many arrows
all over the UI.<br>

Less can sometimes be more, especially in UI design. Icon versus
no icon

is more contrast than icon versus other icon. So much that it does
not

need colour. There are already colors for important, personal,
work etc.

not a direction. Own emails are special, not because of direction,
