LibreOffice is the fork of OpenOffice (now Apache OpenOffice) that is the more popular of the two.
On Linux is it probably the most serious office suite. So I'd think it is in a similar position as Thunderbird there.</pre>

well that would mean that there is "only" a 1 in 1000 ratio for
voluntary donations / user. And OpenOffice is a "big" software -
most users would probably classify it as more complicated / complex
than Thunderbird (and maybe by extension more in need of financial
support?).<br>
