After discussions with a whole variety of folks, I've updated the
3.1 RC1 wiki page<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-rfc2396E" href="https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Thunderbird_3.1RC1"><https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Thunderbird_3.1RC1></a> with
our new schedule:<br>
<br>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1">
<ul>
<li> Code freeze date: Friday, May 14th </li>
<li> l10n-mozilla-1.9.2 freeze date: Monday, May 17th
</li>
<li> Build/relbranch date: Tuesday, May 18th
</li>
<li> QA start date: Wednesday, May 19th
</li>
<li> Ship date: Tuesday, May 25th
</li>
</ul>
From what we can see, it's fairly similar to the pre-3.1b2
situation: it's aggressive, but it seems tractable and worth
shooting for.
<br>
<br>
Known risks:
<br>
<br>
* insufficient compatibility of existing add-ons. Rafael is going
to notify add-on authors shortly.<br>
* web site collateral finished & localized. The schedule is
known to be tight here.<br>
* code changes. We're in pretty good shape here, but there are a
few bugs that are likely to arrive just-in-time.<br>
<br>
If you come to realize that something that's needed for 3.1 RC1 is
likely to take longer than originally anticipated, please let
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:thunderbird-drivers@mozilla.org">thunderbird-drivers@mozilla.org</a> know sooner rather than later!<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
