Yahoo pop accounts stop working on March 2nd

My point exactly,  this is getting down to the wire, but I think some
sort of announcement from our end on the need for yahoo POP users to
change settings would be helpful, if for nothing else than to point to
those seeking support for their mail mysteriously stopping working, and
there will be some. Usually the least technically skilled of all that
did not read the email and  did not read the text messages.  My
understanding is Yahoo is still the most popular mail provider in the
USA, despite their repeated ball dropping and many are POP users if
support histories are anything to go by.

We are going to see the exact same thing commence at Google in the
June/July time frame.  Microsoft will probably not be so aggressive as
they have already had phishing attacks to gain access using oAuth.

The next issue is how do we modify the Account settings so ATT, BT,
Verizon, Rogers and I am sure others can use the Yahoo oAuth to
connect.  Ideally I would like the user to be able to separately specify
an auth provider when oauth is selected, instead of it being available
only for selected providers. Needing a software change each time one of
the big providers signs a contract for corporate or ISP email provision
is not sustainable in the long term I do not think.
