As part of our efforts to provide more external transparency we wanted to share with you the very first Council Meeting minutes from August 22nd, 2019 as below.

Thunderbird Project Council Meeting 2019-08-22
Call Minutes

Date: Thursday, August 08, 2019
Location: Zoom

Session chair: Philipp Kewisch (TB Council Chair)
Keeper of the minutes: Berna Alp

In the call: Philipp, Ryan, Jörg, Berna

Regrets: Patrick, Wayne, Magnus

The Council at the time of the call consists of 7 seat holders without deputies. In order to be quorate for voting, the call needs to have 1/2 of the Council members, which gives 4. The meeting is quorate. From now on, motions can be passed with the agreement of a simple majority of those present. The majority threshold is currently 4.

 The meeting commences at 2:00pm CEST.

Final discussion and vote: Motion to Approve and implement External Transparency & Communication procedures
Vote: YES (4/4)
2. Miscellaneous

Discussion: Grant Thunderbird.net email addresses to module owners, some peers, and other core contributors

Ryan brought up granting Thunderbird.net email addresses to module owners and some other contributors. Council members discussed the rationale behind this request as well as concerns and conditions. Ryan is working on the best option that will make the most impact
