If there's a certain feature you want into core, you submit it as a 
patch and go through the review process in bugzilla.

Integrating add-ons as such isn't usually the best idea, except for when 
they bring significant optional functionality. Like lightning, or 
enigmail. Add-ons that basically do rough bug-workarounds or add-ons 
with too narrow audience aren't good candidates for integration.
