The more I think about it, the more I think Bron has got a point. While
endpoint encryption is a valuable feature, it's one which is adequately
served by Enigmail at present. Against other potential core features
which Thunderbird is lacking at present (e.g. CardDAV, the stalled
replacement address book) – I'd like to retract my earlier support for
it being a development priority.
