Needing help with TB 31.x bugs

For anyone wanting to have a big impact on improving Thunderbird, this 
is a good place to contribute...

Because this crash is not your average topcrash - it killing us:
- causing our 31.x crash rate to be three times greater than 24.x
- the signature's crash rate is more than 10x greater than the #2 crash
- user comments about this crash are very unkind, and hurting our 
reputation.

Ideally, we should fix this before unthrottling user updates from 24.x
