Yes. I used to be a Thunderbird user a long time ago until I had to use
multiple computers and I switched to Gmail's web interface without even
realizing it... But I was never happy with Gmail's web interface as
much as I was happy with Thunderbird, and with 3.1's blazing fast
indexing (which enables me to actually use Thunderbird, given the

I second this. As someone who has to deal with hundreds (on some days,
thousands) of bugmail, 1.5 is in fact quite fast! It's definitely a lot
faster than my own response rate.
FWIW, I've had a very nice experience reporting Thunderbird issues for
as long as I remember, and I'm sure that the trend is going to continue
to get even better!
