Perhaps relevant: Cap'n Proto's RPC protocol
<http://kentonv.github.io/capnproto/rpc.html> aims to be a cross-language
distributed-object-capability system, and I have been working on a Rust
implementation <https://github.com/dwrensha/capnproto-rust>.
