I don't suggest we give up on gdb. I'm just saying it's no big deal if it's
a bit rough around the edges.

One thing that would help is if there's a way, during recording, at each
fork() or exec(), to dump the rr command that can be used to replay with
debugging of that process/image. Then it should be an easy copy/paste to
select which process you want to debug during replay. That would be better
than anything interactive IMHO.
