Had  a fun time today with colleagues<br>
Showed them the mock-ups and wanted to see their reaction.<br>
They all asked me to convey the message to you guys [they also have a phobia against you guys :P]<br>
the first one was that's and the second one was to sometimes listen to users as each have different way of doing things and devs cannot be always right while deciding for others,<br>
so they should get the feedback and give the users what they want as it is what they are making it for, not some concept to show off but user's who will use it.<br>

they also were kind enough to suggest a few things.<br>

1: Firefox is my working horse. Period. I use Zotero and local bookmarks all day long and I hope very much that the interfaces won't change for that.<br>
Then, the bookmarks manager remains a quite important case in point to me. If it would be abolished as is, I'd probably go back to Safari.<br>
If you no longer have control over the GUI and the rest of the application as is via about:config you can use any other web browser.<br>
There is one thing I'd like to make clear: I trust Firefox to remain a proper desktop application. No attempt at cloning a smartphone app to the desktop, please.<br>

2: Bookmarks will be a killer for me with this UI that needs to be re-designed again . an much more, it'll become a non-usable browser , a little tweak however can fix that[attachment made by him bookmark.jpg]<br>
Currently the toolbar is also a sub-menu in the bookmarks menu but is absent in the mock-up. I would at least expect to see "View Bookmarks Toolbar" next to "View Bookmarks Sidebar".<br>
Will we be able to add shortcut icons to things like about:addons and about: preference, next to addon icons?<br>
What about bookmarks toolbar and classic menu bar? Use it daily and is far useful and looks like will be here only for macos ?<br>
The "new" tabs are fairly similar to the per-Australia tabs.<br>
And what's with the forward button? Hiding the forward forward button when it couldn't be used was in my opinion a smart move.<br>
Not so long ago that was a new feature. Now part of the "new" design appears to be reverting that change. At the very least, I would expect it to auto-hide when in the compact them<br>

3: The library, I'm not sure about. Logically, it makes sense, but pushing bookmarks into a second-level menu seems a bit annoying. From one of the screenshots, you'll still be able to bring the Downloads arrow back to the toolbar, so you'll have one-click access to that, but I don't see the equivalent for bookmarks — unless it's that icon next to the Library button on the toolbar already, and they just never show its use.<br>
Can the still implement in a more useful manner in a design they've made , i use bookmarks to open tons of sites very quickly and also bookmarks to use entire screen space available bu that's not currently possible in history menu and certainly will be a killer for me.[ screenshot is bookmark2.jpg]<br>
I'm going to assume that the start page can be reconfigured to just a blank page, like always, and as long as that's available, I don't really care what they do with the rest of it.<br>

4:dunno yet what i'll use, , Chrome perhaps, as it wont be Firefox as Bookmarks as it is in this New Design is useless<br>

5:And only two color schemes for the "compact" mode? Really? At-least give us an option like Vivaldi, which can provide auto color or manual selection of colors.<br>

I've tested the activity stream extension; it took about a second to display the new tab page each time it is opened, which was highly irritating.<br>
