installed here under Windows 10. Nightly and FDE are 64 bit. Firefox
release is 32 bit, since there doesn't seem to be a 64 bit build yet.

I use the same profile for all three (but only run one at a time.)
The profile lives on a RAMdisk and Firefox is configured to look for
it there. My standard setup is to open bookmarks/history in the
sidebar.

I've recently noticed a quirk in Nightly and FDE. An update is
available, and I install it and restart. After restart, the
bookmarks/history sidebar is blank. I had seen previous problems in
the past where FF decided the places.sqlite file was corrupt after a
restart, renamed it, and substituted a blank default file. Exiting FF,
deleting the new file, and renaming the .corrupt file back to
places.sqlite restored sanity, and I never did find out what FF
thought the problem was with the file.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case here. If I exit Nightly or FDE and
start up in standard Firefox, it opens the file with no issues. It
just doesn't seem to want to if I'm in FDE or Nightly and restart.

This is not a showstopper, but is a curiosity. Has anyone else seen
this sort of behavior?
