In my original posting I ngelected to mention that I was using the Swedish-language version of Nightly, but after seeing your message I decided to check and indeed, removing the Swedish language pack, which hadn't been updated for some time, and reverting to the default English-language version did allow me to access my search engines. I wasn't satisfied with that particular solution, however, as I dislike being forced to view my browser in a language chosen by someone else, so I decided to see if updating the language pack would do the trick.
