<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">​After updating Nightly to the above version the day before yesterday, I found to my surprise that I was unable to neither go to a web address I had entered in the address bar, or execute a search in the bar or in the standard search box.</span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)"> </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)"> I find that clicking</span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)"> the «Search» button under «Preferences», no longer opens that tab, which would allow me to choose search engine(s).</span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)"> Nor could I access «about:config» in Nightly to check if, for example.value of  «keyword.enabled»'s string had, for some odd reason, changed to «False». I encounter none of these problems in the standard version of Firefox (38.0)</span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">. Updating to version «41.0a1 (2015-05-22)» did not correct these anomalies....<br><br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">All the above on my main box running 64-bit Linux Mint 17.1, but I observe the same abnormalities on another computer running an updated version of (64-bit) Windows 8.1....<br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)"><br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">I hope this problem will soon be corrected ; until then, I must, perforce, use the standard version of Firefox in preference to Nightly....<br><br></span></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">Henri</span></div></div>
