It appears at the right of the items in the awesomebar results list when that item comes from your bookmarks (other sources include history and open tabs). You may want to invest some time in something like Pocket[1].</p>

This behavior is cross-platform. It appears in GNU/Linux builds as well as Windows and OS X, regardless of toolkit theme, desktop environment (or window manager), etc. At least, IIRC. Your Firefox theme may remove it, but I doubt it.</p>
