Hi, A friend has advised that you can fix the issue by installing the old version of gdrive. Google forgot to update for nightly. I'm speaking with Google Dev team on Monday so I will mention it to them then. They may patch it.<br>

I've now tested with an updated (28.0a1 (2013-11-02)) version on a laptop running Windows 8.1 with the same result ; I have no difficulty whatever launching Google Drive using the apps button in Gmail. My documents are displayed precisely as they should and open with no problems....<br>
