It depends on what you are downloading,,, On Mac's most software is automatic downloaded to the folder. You have to train the browser to the same thing. Also you can set it up in prefernces.

Hello fellow Nigtly Testers,
I am running Nightly 22.0a1(20013-03-5 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I am having several issues with downloading since a couple of days. First: The Download popover always shows up on the bottom Addon-Bar, even if I hit the Button in the normal toolbar. This used to be different and is very confusing. The next thing that really bugs me but I unfortunately cannot reproduce it at the moment: Sometimes it just starts the download and saves it to the Download folder, even though I have "always ask me where to save files" turned on. Most of the timei firefox does, but sometimes it doesn't. I know this is a shitty bug report, but maybe some of you on the list know something about this issue and can help me to reproduce it.
Best regards,
Philipp Stephan
