The solution is to make a copy of the preference settings, but I am still trying
to get it to align with the updates. They need to make a custom setting that
will not be overwritten each time.</font></div>

<div><font face="Calibri">I have also found another error you may want to check
on. Some programs that remove temp files also remove settings due to the fact
they are considered to be temp files so make a backup of the preference and then
change the <u><font color="#ff0000">.bak</font></u> file to something else. I use
<u><font color="#ff0000">.back</font></u> and the cleaners do not remove
them. Get a list of file you cleaner utility removes and the see if any of
the are custom files.</font></div>

custom settings and logins from the registry and the main program affected so
far has been Google Chrome. I am testing other programs for similar effects and
have found that most do this function to reset the registry to what they think

out. IOBit Advanced System Care 6.0 erases all custom settings and I
have stopped even using SmartDefrag2 on the XP PRO SP3.</font></div>

on the tabs bar to change between groups. But with the latest Nightly
update, that button doesn't work. Nor does the keyboard shortcut I found
online (command-shift-e). Is anyone else experiencing this
