I am also having this bug on Windows 7 where it instantly crashes on start. I tried doing a new profile but to no avail. You get no window before it crashes and get sent directly to the crash dumper. <br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

This afternoon, after updating Firefox Nightly on Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bits), I<br>
noticed a significant slowdown of Firefox : the scrolling and loading were<br>
very saccated. I checked in the process tree how firefox was using the<br>
memory.. And to my surprise, it was using up to 1.7Go.<br>
<br>
So I closed and restart it, and all was fine, the usage was between 150 and<br>
350Mo.<br>
But the problem happens again now, the usage of memory is about 1.4Go, and<br>
all is down : saccades..<br>

My version of Nightly : 18.0a1 (2012-09-27)<br>

mm, I again hit the same issue.<br>
<br>
Me being the impatient types, can't really wait for the whole compatibility<br>
test to go on and finish, so I hit cancel again, and lo,<br>
some extensions are again deleted.<br>
<br>
I am trying sync reset now manually, (unlink and link this profile). But<br>
since the first part of sync looks like uploading data, fingers crossed if<br>
it deletes the extensions from my sync account as well.<br>

Interesting heads up. Thanks Nancy. But according to your link, it should<br>
still be working. Also, 15 is release, not in beta. And it WAS working<br>
under 18.0A1. I suspect that an extension conflict is going on. Although<br>
every other day when I startup 15.0.1, it tells me that I need to update<br>
(which is kind of odd, I've never seen that popup before...), I cancel<br>
(because it just sits there and spins, and if I do the Help->About->Check<br>
for updates, there's no new version to upgrade to. In fact, I think I'll<br>
scan the directory (it's actually a portable format version, and if I don't<br>
find anything, I may just wipe and reinstall fresh...). I just need to<br>
make sure I export my passwords before doing so. :)<br>
