I have been streaming the Olympic games on and off over the last two weeks and I have been noticing weird memory spikes. The interesting thing is that while I have Nightly on 2 computers, it seems to happen frequently on one (basically every time) and almost never on the other one. But the memory will be stable at say 300mb and then all the sudden it will jump to 600mb and then 1GB and its capped around 2GB. And the plugin container has the same problem. At one point I had 2 FF windows and it exploded to 5GB total (3GB Plugin Container, 2GB Firefox.exe). Anyone else having these problems?
Extract all the files it links to into a separate location (the css, the
images... sadly the save function doesn't save these in conjunction to
the page) The I believe it will work. I got all byt images running on opera.
On an unrelated note, can whoever is using 0spam shut it off for the
list? I don't think everyone wants to verify their email address with them.
When using "File ? Save Page As?" in SeaMonkey, the filepicker dialog
has several "filetype" options, one of which is "Web page, complete",
which saves all related files in a new directory next to the saved HTML,
and modifies the links, changing them to local links pointing into that
directory. Hasn't Firefox got the same feature? Or is there something in
the architecture of that "Olympic torch" webpage which makes the
function miss some or all of the stylesheet(s) and image(s)?

N.B. I use the XUL filepicker (IOW, ui.allow_platform_file_picker is set
to false in my about:config) because, unlike the GNOME filepicker which
is default on Linux, it has a checkbox, "Show hidden files and directories".
Just go with the flow control, roll with the crunches, and, when you
get a prompt, type like hell.
