Anyone else notice this? I was at 4+ GB with Gmail + GContacts + GCal + GMaps tabs open in a single window. Killed process and started with new session, opened Gmail and GCal and back to 875 MB within minutes.

I've been noticing some rather high memory usage myself. I run a game under the release of FF, and everything else is under the nightly. Under 11.0 of the release, I would eventually have to restart, FF was sucking up too much memory. The Nightly didn't seem to use much more than a gig ever (with 8 gigs, one doesn't notice such things...). But now when I seem about to run out of memory, it's the nightly I have to restart to get the memory back. The 12.0 release seems to be much more frugal. And that's been a couple or three games patches since, which might also account for part of the difference.

I haven't had a chance to do much fooling around to see if I can nail anything down. Maybe later this week I can do some spelunking. I am running MemChaser. So maybe I need to start logging stuff.
