On 3.6.25 we reproduced the flicker only if we clicked on the
textbox while characters were painted after the writing has
stopped. <br>
<br>
Attached to this mail is a clip with the flicker that we've
noticed (the black screen appeared only one time, when the clip
was made, but the second flicker appears every time)<br>

<li><b>start typing fast and randomly and you'll noticed that
the letters continue to paint after you stop typing<br>
</b></li>
<li><b>the flicker will appear and all remaining characters will
be painted at once</b></li>
<li><b>after this, if you continue typing, the behavior from the
first bullet is resumed</b><br>

We will continue searching the regression also on Win XP, Ubuntu
11.10_ x64 and also on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I'll let you know what
we'll find. We will also update the bug with our results.<br>

What we know is that people notice it in Firefox 9 and above (Aurora and Nightly included). It may be present in earlier versions like Fx8 but it seems to work better in 8.
Given the popularity of the site and the kind of pain people can experience, this is of high priority.
Please help us find a regression range for this problem. The problem has been reported on versions running on Windows 7.
