Some extesnions can use a lot of memory. Open tabs also use memory. The<br>
amount ways to what is open in the tab. The only way I can force Firefox<br>
to use this much memory to to open 50 tabs.<br>
<span></span><br></blockquote></div><br></div>I've seen over a gig used with just Gmail, Greader and my home page loaded, shown by Memory Restart.  I've got six gigs, so it's not a huge problem.  I've got OTHER issues that are system related (reinstall of Windows should cure it, according to Resmon, FF (and Explorer and Chrome and Uedit32 and...) are waiting for network completion.  Scrolling a page that's already completed loading, really?)<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"></font></span><br clear="all">

</blockquote></div><br>It appears that I have fixed my problem.  I googled what ResMon was saying, and it pointed me to ONE article, somebody had mentioned it in a comment.  That article pointed to another entry that talked about fixing startup times with FF.<br>
