Do you have Adblock installed? I saw this problem in Nightly,
Aurora, Beta and 8.0, and was able to resolve it every time by
disabling Adblock either entirely or just for Gmail.<br>

It also seems that it has been fixed on their end. When I updated my
filter subscriptions (I'm subscribed to EasyList (English)) the
problem went away.<br>
