</div></div>I don't see that with Adobe Reader X, but I use a different install<br>
method. I *don't* want Adobe Reader to be called as a plugin and<br>
display in a tab: I want it invoked as an external application running<br>
in it's own window. In FF 3.X and prior, that could be done in Reader<br>
itself: Edit/Preferences/Internet and *uncheck* Display PDF in<br>
browser. In FF4+, you need to change Firefox's config as well:<br>
Options/Applications Adobe Acrobat, and modify the default association<br>
from "Uee Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" to "Use Adobe Reader".<br>

It might be a suitable work-around for you.<br>
