I'll try some other things and see if I can further narrow it down. Note that the FF3.X problem DOING THE EXACT SAME THING in the past has ALWAYS resulted in getting two master password prompts probably due to the fact that I bring up two tabs that want login/passwords. In FF3, I could X one of the master password popup windows, fill in the other one and it would then work fine.

Also note that when bringing up these tabs, I have never actually logged in to the dealnews tab so I don't know if this tab has the same issue. I'll check that also.

John

--- On Mon, 7/11/11, LWChris <lwchris-nightly@gmx.de> wrote:

From: LWChris

John

I think I understand what the problem is, but can't reproduce it. To put the issue in a nutshell: The password reminder does not fill in the username/password if the requesting tab isn't the currently focused one when the master-password prompt pops up.

Try it on a new profile, because as I said, I can't reproduce it. If the problem is still persistent in the new tab, it might be worth to make a screen capture with "Jing" by Techsmith (freeware). I've found Jing is one of the best ways to report bugs, either with an (annotated) picture for layout or design problems, or a screen recorder if you need more steps to present it. Might by worth a try :)

Chris
_______________________________________________
Nightly-testers mailing list
Nightly-testers@mozilla.org
<a
