<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">You may recall that I reported this problem in April.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">It is now solved.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">The problem was that I could not run the 32-bit version of either Firefox 5 or 6 unless I ran as Administrator.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">I would get a R6034 error and FF5 & 6 crashed. It happened no matter whether I used the default profile or a new profile with nothing in it. It happened even if I changed the settings as various contributors suggested.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">To fix it so that I could run FF5 Beta, I deleted all directories related to Firefox from the User and Program File (x86) directories. Installed FF 5 Beta (x86) and all works well.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"DejaVu Sans","sans-serif";color:windowtext">I still find it strange that FF 4.01 ran nearly perfectly as did FF 6 x64, but not 5 or 6 x86. Somewhere there is a hidden bug.</span></p>
