The <a
href="http://blog.mozilla.com/tglek/2011/05/13/firefox-telemetry">Telemetry</a>
feature can now be enabled in Firefox nightly builds. The goal of
telemetry is develop an infrastructure to measure Firefox
performance in the wild. This work is targeted for Firefox 6. Please
read Taras' blog post for more detailed information about the goal
of telemetry.<br>

Here are instructions to enable telemetry in nightly builds:<a
href="http://nightly.mozilla.org/"></a>

<li><span>Download a <a href="http://nightly.mozilla.org/">Firefox
nightly build</a> <br>

<li>Go to <span style="font-weight: bold;">about:config</span> <span
style="text-decoration: underline;"></span>and set <span
style="font-weight: bold;">toolkit.telemetry.enabled</span> to
true. Restart the browser.<br>

<li>Install his <a
href="http://people.mozilla.com/%7Etglek/telemetry/ping.telemetry.xpi">extension</a>
and then navigate to <span style="font-weight: bold;">about:telemetry</span>
to see the metrics collected</li>
