<div dir="ltr"><p>We're back with our <a title="etherpad" href="https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015" target="_blank">next community call</a> this <strong>Thursday, September 10</strong>. The call is open to the public and will start at <strong>11:00 am ET</strong>. Call in details can be found <a title="etherpad" href="https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015" target="_blank">on the call etherpad</a> (where you can also find notes and the agenda) and <a title="wiki" href="https://wiki.mozilla.org/ScienceLab/Calls" target="_blank">on the wiki</a>. (If you have trouble with the toll-free number, try one of the numbers at the bottom of this post.)</p>
<p>This month, we’ll be hearing about a few new takes on scholarly publishing. On this week’s call, we’ll be joined by <a href="http://twitter.com/khinsen">Konrad Hinsen</a>, who’ll be telling us more about <a href="https://github.com/ReScience/ReScience/wiki">ReScience</a>,
a peer-reviewed journal that targets computational research and
encourages the explicit replication of already published research. We’ll
also hear from <a href="http://twitter.com/EvoMRI">Daniel Mietchen</a> how his new journal that seeks to publish <strong>*all*</strong>
of your research outputs, from your proposals all the way through your
data, workflows, and final publication. (More on the RIO Journal, <a href="http://blog.riojournal.com/2015/09/01/all-you-can-publish-go-a-la-carte-with-research-ideas-and-outcomes-journal-rio/">here</a> and <a href="http://news.sciencemag.org/scientific-community/2015/09/new-journal-wants-publish-your-research-ideas">here</a>.)</p>
<p>We’ll also be introducing new team members and speaking more about our training plans for the fall. We hope you’ll join us.</p>
<p>Have an update, blog post or event you’d like to share relevant to open science? <a title="etherpad" href="https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015" target="_blank">Add it to the etherpad</a>
(see ‘Non Verbal Updates’, line ~80). It’s a great way to share what
you’re working on and/or interested in with the community. Don’t be shy.
