<p>The Mozilla Science Lab is launching a new initiative to boost collaboration between the different organizations teaching software bootcamps these days: Friday’s Instructor Hangouts. If you are part of Software Carpentry, Ladies Learning Code, rOpenSci, the Center for Open Science, Code4Lib, pyLadies, or a similar tribe, please <a href="http://mozillascience.org/instructor-hangouts-landing-this-friday/" target="_blank">find the details here</a>.</p>

<li>Alex Viana and Raniere Silva taught not <a href="http://r-gaia-cs.github.io/2014-09-01-ccsl/" target="_blank">one</a> but <a href="http://r-gaia-cs.github.io/2014-09-04-ccsl/" target="_blank">two</a> workshops at the Centro de Competência em Software Livre at the Universidade de Sao Paulo, in Brazil.</li>

<li>Don’t miss <a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/09/nature-interview-with-kaitlin-thaney.html" target="_blank">the Nature interview with Kaitlin Thaney</a>, Director of the Mozilla Science Lab. She talks about Software Carpentry and new plans for the Mozilla Science Lab.</li>
<li>An instructor training course was <a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/09/instructor-training-at-uc-davis-jan-2015.html" target="_blank">announced at UC Davis in next January</a>. This two-day workshop is the in-person version of our online instructor course. This will be followed by a third day focused on computational biology.</li>
