<p><a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/05/multisite-sprint-in-july.html">The Mozilla Science Lab global sprint</a> scheduled for July has started to take shape in <a href="https://etherpad.mozilla.org/swc-sprint-2014">this Etherpad</a>. Add yourself to one of the confirmed sites or host the sprint elsewhere. A bunch of projects have been already proposed, but if you have a cool idea to work on, feel free to add it to the list.</p>

<li>Konrad Hinsen, Nelle Varoquaux, Karin Lagesen, and Lex Nederbragt <a href="http://gvwilson.github.io/2014-05-19-scilifelab/">taught a workshop at the Science Life Lab of the Karolinska Institutet</a> in Stockholm, Sweden.</li>
<li>Aron Ahmadia and Ted Hart <a href="http://geocarpentry.github.io/2014-05-23-csdms/">taught a workshop at the Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System Annual Meeting</a>, held in Boulder, Colorado.</li>

<li>Last Thursday we had our monthly lab meeting. If you missed it, Greg Wilson <a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/05/may-2014-lab-meeting-summary.html">posted a summary on our blog</a>.</li>
<li>After running our first workshop in Brazil last week, the summer comes loaded with <a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/05/a-lot-of-bootcamps-in-the-works.html">a lot of workshops happening all over the world</a>.</li>
<li>In the last 2.5 years, close to <strong>6000</strong> people have attended a Software Carpentry workshop, and <a href="http://software-carpentry.org/blog/2014/05/a-lot-of-bootcamps-in-the-works.html">the number keeps growing fast!</a></li>
</ul>
<h2 class="clear">A workshop needs you</h2>

<li><strong>US and Canada</strong>
<ul>
<li>A workshop at the University of Michigan in July needs two instructors. Also a workshop at <strong>the University of Delaware</strong> and another in <strong>Missouri</strong> need one more instructor.</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Europe</strong>
<ul>
<li>At least one instructor is needed for a workshop in <strong>Kiel</strong> and another in <strong>Postdam</strong>, both in Germany, and several for workshops in <strong>Cranfield, Cambridge, and Oxford</strong> in the UK.</li>
