gcp -- thanks so much for collecting this feedback.  I for one found 
this really valuable.

For those following at home, I'm driving a small "improve Remote Tabs 
tray" project at [1] that should address the following tickets.  Thanks 
to mcomella and capella for their early contributions to this cause!
