Rich Clients Still Trump Web Mail For Businesses

If the press is talking about this in this way, then, imo,
m.o.m (mozilla.org marketing) needs to have a response to
the question: "what is mozilla philosophy about web mail,
and its overlap with mozilla's mail clients?"

Note also that, implicit in the headline is the notion that:

* Rich Clients Don't Fully Trump Web Mail For Consumers; and
* Web Mail May May Well One Day Trump Rich Clients For All.

Is any of this true? If so, where does this leave Thunderbird?
