Telemetry events are now coming in via the event ping!

Thanks to :chutten's fine work, the Event ping landed in the 6/27 nightly
build with all the nearer-to-real-time goodness that entails. This means
from that build on, all telemetry events are coming in via the Event ping
and are removed from the main ping. The Events dataset in STMO has been
updated and backfilled to include events from that ping so if that's your
main source for analyzing events, the transition should be seamless
(although if you've queried the dataset in the last few days, especially if
you're only analyzing events coming from nightly, please re-run those.)
If you're looking at raw pings, the docType is "event" (and also if you
are, I'd love to know what your use case is so I can see if we can meet
your needs with a derived dataset.)
Next steps are uplifting the ping to Beta and migrating the Events dataset
to a streaming version.
As always, if you have any questions or comments find us in #telemetry in
IRC or #fx-metrics in Slack.
Cheers,
Sunah
