    Instead of flashing a bright white 0xffffff window we should show an
    off-white color that matches the background color of the <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="about:home">about:home</a>
    page. It looks like the default theme's <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="about:home">about:home</a> background color
    is 0xf9f9fa. Then there would be no background color flip between
    the placeholder window and the fully-rendered <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="about:home">about:home</a>. Like Dao
    says, bright white looks looks like a Windows painting glitch.<br>
