<div class="moz-cite-prefix">Given that this is an issue with a
webextensions API rather than the internal downloads code, I think
it should be in the webextensions component. I've moved it there
and pinged some people responsible for webextensions. Hopefully
there will be more traction that way, but it is pretty late in the
game for 57 at this stage, and everyone is very busy, so I can't
guarantee anything. It does seem like something that should get
fixed, so if someone provides patches, especially ones that don't
require extensions to update their API calls or for our API to
diverge from other implementers (Chrome, Edge, ...) then that
would be a big help. I don't have enough domain knowledge to say
whether that's easily possible, though.<br>
