<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div>A couple of weeks ago we shipped Firefox 43 a week or so after Mozlando (when many people were on holiday) and a week or two before other people went on holiday. <br><br></div>Hindsight is easy, but I looked at the calendar and wondered why we actually shipped on that date, because it seemed to be the worst possible date. I've not been too involved in the release process in the past, but I chatted to several people who seemed rather stressed right before the holidays and it didn't seem to be much fun for them.<br><br></div>One of the nice things about the train is that in theory we could just skip shipping a version and have a slightly bigger version on the next train.<br><br></div>I wouldn't expect this to be a common occurrence (in fact there's probably only one or two times a year this should happen), but if there's a date that we can look at well in advance and say "hey that's going to be really bad if anything goes wrong, let's skip that train..." would that be a possibility?<br></div>
