so far, I just uploaded an XPI, that works well on the Desktop Firefox, to webspace and entered the URL to the XPI in the mobile variant of Firefox.

With the current Release, this seems to be impossible. Firefox ignores the XPI URL and doesn't offer me to install.
On the desktop we have Firefox developer edition. What do we have on Android? How can I test my Addon without going over addons.mozilla.org?
Thanks in advance.
