<div dir="ltr"><div><div>My guess is that people mainly jump between the current page, the previous page and the landing page of a website. In the case of the slideshow this would mean people may want to jump back to the first page of the presentation again. In case of a page with login like facebook, GMail, GitHub, etc. this would mean to jump back to the homepage they landed right after the login.<br>

</div>So the history should show at least these three entries of a website with the option to easily jump back to other history entries if required, e.g. via the mentioned ellipsis.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Of course this assumption requires confirmation by some usage statistics. Actually the rework of the navigation history UX should be based such statistics in any case.<br>

I like the idea that clicking on the ellipses would expand it out to show all history items in that range. I think that would be a good follow-up bug if other people agree. I'd rather not complicate the initial bug though.<br>
